About GoodGut

Our goal is to offer technological solutions that allow obtaining a faster, more reliable, and cheaper medical diagnosis than existing methods, as well as providing therapies to improve the quality of life of patients with compromised digestive health.

GoodGut was founded in 2014 as a spin-off of the University of Girona (UdG) and the Dr. Josep Trueta Institute for Biomedical Research of Girona (IDIBGI). Our facilities are in the Science and Technology Park of the University of Girona, an innovation center that brings together more than 140 companies, research groups, and institutions.

The know-how of GoodGut

The central axis from which we generate our intellectual property is the study of the intestinal microbiota of individuals since it is a determining factor in the immune system of the intestine and the development of digestive diseases. This know-how comes from a team with an outstanding scientific and entrepreneurial trajectory and generates the opportunity to provide innovative and cheaper solutions to the health system.

We are part of CataloniaBio, the association of leading companies in life and health biomedicine in Catalonia.

Mission

Our mission is to contribute innovative solutions to prevent digestive diseases, especially chronic ones, and improve the health of those who suffer from them globally.
